According to the Ohio Department of Health, flu is spreading across Ohio and other States, but the good news is that you can protect yourself and your loved ones. Keep healthy and avoid the flu by taking these simple steps:

Get a flu shot! The CDC recommends the yearly flu vaccine as the first and most important step in protecting against the flu. Everyone 6 months of age and older should get a flu shot.

Wash hands often and cover your cough!

There are differences between the common cold and the flu.
Colds and flu can easily be mistaken for one another, but there level of intensity can be quite different. Both are respiratory diseases, ywet the flu is worse tha a cold. The flu has symptoms such as fever, body aches, extreme tiredness and dry cough which are more intense. Colds are usually milder, and more likely to have a runny or stuffy nose. Colds do not usually result in pneumonia, bacterial infections or hospitalizations.
