Take all medicines ordered by your health care provider even if you feel fine.

Stay at a normal weight

Do not smoke

Limit alcohol. One drink per day for women, 2 for men

Eat plenty of calcium (low fat milk) and potassium (fruits and vegetables)

Walk every day

Do not add salt to your food. Avoid salty foods such as canned soup, fast food and packaged foods.
