“Developing a hobby can help people with cancer, or those in remission, focus on the positive aspects of life, and not give all their attention to the cancer or possible reoccurrence.  And it doesn’t have to be a specific hobby like bracelet making, you can socialize with friends, go shopping, go to the movies, play tennis, whatever you enjoy. The bottom line is, dwelling on negativity won’t help you get through cancer treatment, and when you continue to live a fully engaged life, that helps you regain normalcy, which is important. It may even benefit the clinical outcome!”
