Surveys show most Americans don’t realize that lifestyle factors can play a big role in raising or lowering cancer risk.

After staying away from tobacco, maintaining a healthy weight is the next most important thing any of us can do to help lower our cancer risk,” says Colleen Doyle, RD, managing director of nutrition and physical activity for the American Cancer Society.
