People with COPD live longer with statin drugs, we hear from Larry Lynd, PhD.

Resent study:  People with COPD who used statins were 45% less likely to die from lung-related issues than other COPD patients and had a 21% lower risk lower risk of dying from any cause.

Possible reason:  Statins, used to reduce cholesterol levels, have anti-inflammatory properties that may benefit certain people with COPD.
