Androgen Deprivation Therapy (ADT) reduces male hormones to stop them from stimulating prostate cancer cells to grow.

Recent finding:  Men on ADT with early, localized prostate cancer had a 81% higher risk for heart failure and a slightly increased risk for heart rhythm disorders, compared with those not on ADT. If you are on ADT, be monitored closely for heart disease.
