get this life-saving scan:  Speak with your doctor about having a low-dose CT exam annually if you are between the ages of 55 and 80, have a history of heavy smoking and are a current smoker or have quit within the past 15 years.

Under the Affordable Care Act, most insurers must cover the cost. (Medicare also covers lung cancer screening, but the range is ages 55 to 77.)
