Steps for Lowering Triglycerides

Lose weight if overweight

Increase physical activity, especially aerobic exercise

Limit or eliminate alcohol

Reduce sugar intake, especially sweetened beverages

If you have diabetes, control blood sugar levels

Increase intake of omega-3 fatty acids.
