Water First for Thirst

Summer brings sunshine and fun, but that sunshine also brings heat and humidity. It is important to stay hydrated during these summer months, and the best way to do that is with water!

Water is essential to every cell in our body, so whether you are outside in the sun, or at your desk in the office, be sure to chose water first for thirst!

In order to stay hydrated, the Lorain County General Health District encourages you to accept the Water First for Thirst Challenge, and drink eight, 8 oz. glasses of water. Accepting the challenge is easy and everyone benefits from it!

Health benefits of drinking water:

Helps keep your temperature normal

Energizes muscles

Lubricates joints

Reduces risk for chronic diseases

Improves quality of life

Drink plenty of water each and every day, and be sure to encourage others to choose water first for thirst!
