Aching back? You may want to add stress reduction in your therapy. A study of 342 people with chronic low back pain found that about 44 percent of those who underwent eight weeks of mindfulness-based stress reduction with yoga and meditation or had cognitive behavioral therapy (all also had their usual care) saw pain improve significantly. Only 27 percent of those who got usual care alone saw such benefit.
