About 79 million people in the United States have pre-diabetes. They are 2 times more likely to have a heart attack or stroke than someone with normal blood sugar levels.

Pre-diabetes is a fasting blood sugar level between 100-125mg/dl

It can be treated with diet and exercise

With lifestyle change and weight loss, the risk of getting diabetes may be prevented or delayed.
